Dean Lonsdale is an independent singer/songwriter/musician/producer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

From 2006-2012 Dean’s original alt-rock, guitar heavy band “Jets to Theory” was enjoying mainstream FM radio airplay from coast to coast across Canada, and down the eastern seaboard of the USA from Maine, to Florida, as an independent act. They cracked the top 100 DMDS charts in Canada in 2006 with their hit “Too Vamped Up”

In 2008 Dean’s original song “The Dream” placed in the top 10 finalists in the world of the “We Are Listening” songwriting competition, based in London, UK

More recently, Dean has spanned genre’s and started writing, performing & producing music in the EDM, pop & dance world. In 2017, his song “You Are My Light” made the semi-finals of the prestigious SOCAN Canadian Songwriting Competition, in the EDM category.

Dean continues to write and record his music and is currently working on developing multiple recording projects in multiple genres. His cover act performs all over western Canada for many high profile clients, such as the CFL, the BC Lions, the Edmonton Eskimos, Bud Light Refresh Tour, Banff & Jasper National parks, Banff Centre for the Arts to name a few

Dean has placed equal importance in giving his talents away & the gift of music to the less fortunate. He has performed with a full rock band in the Edmonton Institution for Women (Women’s Prison) 4 years in a row, The Annual  Inner-city Roast Beef luncheon hosted by The Mayor of Edmonton annually, and the Hope Mission outdoor BBQ.
